Soros Transfers $18 Billion To Leftwing Foundation To Fight Trump

Donation makes the Open Society Foundation the second-largest philanthropic organization in the U.S.

Democratic megadonor George Soros transferred $18 billion to his Open Society Foundation which instantly makes his foundation one of the most powerful players in United States politics.
His donation to Open Society was disclosed on Tuesday. The New York Times reports that the massive infusion of cash made the foundation the second-largest philanthropic organization in the U.S.

Open Society, which has backed highly controversial groups like Black Lives Matter with millions of dollars, is ramping up its efforts to fight President Donald Trump and his agenda as Soros aims to defeat him at every turn. “We must do something to push back against what’s happening here,” Soros said following the 2016 presidential election, pointing to what he termed the “dark forces that have been awakened” by the election. The Times specifically mentioned that Soros’ political focus was giving “large donations to Hillary Clinton and other Democratic politicians.” A leaked 2016 memo from Open Society said that Europe’s refugee crisis should be accepted as the “new normal” and was great for “new opportunities” so Soros could spread his anti-borders immigration policies on a global scale. Emails leaked in 2017 showed just how much power Soros has over top U.S. politicians like Hillary Clinton who was worried about making sure that Soros was kept “happy.” A 2015 memo that was supposedly hacked in 2016 revealed that Soros lobbied then-President Obama to accept 100,000 refugees per year and succeeded.
